01. Scalability and High performance

Grow from one (no high availability) to thousands of nodes and from single Terabytes to Exabytes of capacity. You can create thousands of snapshots without significant performance impact,whilst offering the same Kubernetes management.

02. No vendor lock-in and Flexibility

Use any Linux & Kubernetes distribution, deployed on bare metal, virtual machine, dedicated public cloud servers or even a mix of the above. You can use HDD, SSD, NVME, SMR drives on commodity or commercial servers.

03. Advanced and unique storage features

Build-in highly available, redundant and scalable SaunaFS storage with CRC data integrity, Copy-on-Write Snapshots and Fast Metadata Performance. Kubernetes components provide read-write mounts of persistent volume on multiple Kubernetes nodes (ReadWriteMany). Mount corruption detection and recovery, cluster split-brain scenario prevention, automated physical and/or virtual disks management and self-healing of all components.

Create separate storage and compute resources with Kubernetes namespaces. SaunaFS clusters can use dedicated nodes or just disks, available within a single Kubernetes cluster. Protect volumes and data with permissions, multiple erasure coding levels, instant atomic, Copy-on-Write snapshots (do not require clones) for users and ransomware protection. Protect infrastructure, services and data from SPoF.
